Our Story

BOOGIE BOUGIE was founded in Antwerp in 2021 with a simple belief: fragrance has the power to change how a space feels.

We create scents for spaces, memories and states of mind. Sometimes warm and familiar, sometimes unexpected or a little strange. We like contrasts, character and fragrances that leave something behind — in a room and in your head.

We don’t always start with ingredients. We start with a feeling.

A place. A person. A strange hour of the night. Something overheard, remembered or imagined. From there, we build the fragrance. That is why our scents don’t just describe what is inside them. They tell stories about where they can take you.

Wet pavement and nervous ambition. Hot milk and whispered gossip. Leather and a dancefloor at 5 a.m. Grass under bare feet the morning after.

We believe fragrance can be sophisticated without becoming serious. So we combine craftsmanship with character, sharp design with a little rebellion, and beautiful scents with names that don’t always behave.

We make things for people who care about atmosphere, individuality and the pleasure of making a space their own.

Our atelier is where BOOGIE BOUGIE becomes something you can light.

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches in our Antwerp atelier. Here, we develop, test and fine-tune our candles ourselves — balancing wax, fragrance and flame until everything comes together.

Working this close to the product allows us to stay involved in every step of the process. From testing a new fragrance to pouring the wax, finishing the candle and preparing it to leave the atelier. We like to keep things close.

Wherever possible, we work with local partners for printing, design and handling. It keeps our production connected to the city we come from, while allowing us to build long-term relationships with the people behind the product.

Our fragrances are vegan, cruelty-free and phthalate-free, and our candles are made with a 100% natural wax blend. We choose our materials consciously and keep looking for ways to make better products with less unnecessary impact.

No big mystery. Just a lot of testing, pouring, smelling, burning and starting again when something isn’t right.
